MINISTRY
We are compelled by our God to minister to all people - those in our own church and neighborhoods, and those farther away. Through mission offerings, local projects, and mission trips to places such as Pennsylvania and Honduras, we have seen God use our church to make

a difference in individual lives, families, and communities. WORSHIP
The psalmist declares, “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” (Psalm 100:2) At Westview, we respect the holiness of worship as we stand before God and declare his glory and worthiness. While at the same time honoring the biblical command to “rejoice in the Lord.” (Phillipians 4:4)

DISCIPLESHIP
It is the church’s God-given challenge to disciple - that is to teach and mentor - Christians of all ages and experiences so they can grow in their relationship with and service to our God. At Westview our discipleship ministry ranges from Sunday School to youth and children’s activities to small groups that meet throughout the week. OUTREACH
Jesus said, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) We believe it is the responsibility of believers to share their faith. By statement and action, our purpose as a church is to bring people to Jesus; therefore, we actively reach out in love. FELLOWSHIP
The New Testament example of the church gives testimony to a church that, in addition to their active involvement in ministry, worship, discipleship, and evangelism, met regularly together to “break bread”. It is through fellowship with each other that we receive strength, joy, reassurance, accountability, and the encouragement necessary to fulfill the work of the church. At Westview we fellowship regularly at cookouts, holiday parades, an annual block party, Sunday School gatherings, trips, etc.

We had such a great time at Wayne and Judy’s for our Lake Lure bus trip on August 27! What a wonderful day filled with good food, great fellowship, lots of laughs, and memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️

Yesterday, we had the privilege of praying over 136 toiletry/essential bags. 💙 These bags will be donated to a local charity to help provide much needed essentials to people in our community.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone at Westview who donated items/money and helped make this project possible. Your generosity and willingness to serve others is truly making a difference!

What started as a simple project during VBS has grown into an opportunity to bless even more people beyond the walls of our church.

We are so thankful for a church family that continues to Seek God. Serve Others. Love All.

Please help us continue to pray that each bag reaches someone who needs it and that God uses this small act of kindness to make a big impact. 🙏

We are excited to introduce our new Children’s Minister, Maggie Deviney!

Maggie is a graduate of Montreat College and has a heart for helping children grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus. During college, she served in the children’s ministry at a local church, where she developed a passion for ministering to children and partnering with families.

She currently serves at the Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association, where she has the opportunity to work alongside churches throughout our community. This past summer, she helped lead Vacation Bible School at multiple churches and has most recently been serving with a local youth group.

Maggie’s heart is dedicated to helping children build a strong foundation of faith while creating a safe, welcoming, and joyful environment where every child feels loved, valued, and encouraged to grow in Christ.

Please join us in giving Maggie a warm welcome! We are excited to see how God will use her as she serves our church and our families.
