⭐️ Meet Yin & Kevin!

For the past 5 years, Yin and Kevin have faithfully served on our Welcome Center Team at Shepherd’s Gate. Whether they’re welcoming first-time guests, answering questions, or connecting with church members, they help make SG feel like home.

One of their favorite parts of serving is meeting new people and helping others get connected. Their friendly and welcoming spirit makes a difference every Sunday.

Outside of church, they enjoy exploring new places, taking walks along the water and nature trails, and spending time together. Kevin enjoys home improvement projects, volleyball, and tennis, while Yin loves swimming, reading, cooking, and working out.

Let’s thank Yin and Kevin for faithfully serving and helping people feel welcome at SG! 🙌💙

Sometimes life feels sunny. Sometimes it feels stormy. And sometimes all we can do is pray. ☀️⛈️🙏

But through every season, God’s Word reminds us:
“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” — Romans 12:12 (ESV)

That’s not just encouragement… it’s a way to stay grounded when life feels uncertain.

No matter what season you’re in today, don’t lose hope. God is still working. 💙

Serving others doesn’t always happen inside a church building. Sometimes it happens in a garage, with tools in your hands and a willingness to help. 🔧🙌

This week, members of our SG family partnered with Camp Restore Detroit to help repair and restore lawn equipment used to serve local neighborhoods throughout Detroit.

We love seeing people use their talents and skills to make a difference in practical ways. Every act of service matters, and every opportunity to love our city well is a chance to reflect Jesus to others.
