For Catholic Christians, June is a month dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Let us commit ourselves, and consecrate the world, to the Heart of our Savior. Let us humble the sinful pride of mankind and find solace and peace in turning ourselves back to the One Who made us out of love. Let us show compassion and patience for those who struggle with their feelings and make choices that lead away from healthy love and relationships, but also gently lead them with Christian love and truth back to the way of eternal happiness.

Today, this June 1st, the Church remembers and honors St. Justin Martyr, himself a convert, philosopher, apologist (explainer of the Faith), and a martyr for Jesus. Today also marks the ordination anniversary of our pastor, Fr. Robert Miskell, as well his classmates Fr. David Aufiero (currently vocations recruiter for the Diocese, a pastor, and high school chaplain), Fr. Michael Pierz (Chancellor of the Diocese), Fr. Piotr Calik (a pastor and former VIcar General of the Diocese), and Fr. Jonathan Hurley (retired). It also is the 63rd anniversary of priesthood for Bishop McDonnell, recently deceased. Please keep them all in your prayers today.
