Taizé evening prayer tonight (Thursday) at 7 pm. Taizé is an ecumenical, meditative style of worship with candles, icons, meditative songs, and significant periods of silence. Many people find it a welcome respite from the frantic nature of our world today. All are welcome!

"Do you ever run into conflicts because you are a Federated Episcopal/Lutheran congregation?" Yes! Today! Lutherans celebrate the Transfiguration on the last Sunday in the season of Epiphany which was February 15 this year. Lutheran reformers put Jesus' bright, mountain top experience at the end of Epiphany (the season of light) as an exclamation point to the season and to contrast it with the season of Lent which follows. Episcopalians celebrate the Transfiguration on August 6th regardless of the day of the week on which that occurs. "Does this difference affect how you do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God?" Not even a little bit!

The Archbishop of Canterbury visited Mampong Babies Home in Ghana recently. A number of our members have visited there in the past. The "Change the Babies" display outside the sanctuary collects change to support this important mission.
