---------History of First Baptist Church of Sheffield Lake----------
First Baptist Sheffield Lake began as a mission of FBC Vermillion in the beginning of 1960. Twenty-three people met in a residence in Sheffield Lake and then began meeting in the West Shore Club and Forestlawn Elementary until the church purchased land and built our current home in December of 1961. This church was formed with on purpose,"To serve as a means through which God can reach the lost and nurture the saved, here and to the uttermost parts of the earth." For almost 62 years FBC of Sheffield Lake faithfully served, loved and cared for the Sheffield Lake community through outreach and ministries.
