Brat Fry Fundraiser

Brats, Hamburgers, Steak Sandwiches, and Bake Sale

Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the mission project: Comfort for Kids: Safe, Warm, Loved. This project will create comfort bags for children removed from their home and placed in Kinship (relative placement) or Foster Care. When children are removed from their home, they are not allowed to take any belongings with them, not even basic need items.

Sheboygan County Social Services has a need for this type of bag. Here are their 2018 statistics - there were 419 kids taken out of their home and placed in Kinship or Foster Care. Of the children removed there were 229 males and 190 females. The average age for a boy was 9.7 years old and the average age for a girl was 7.7 years old. The average length of stay for boys was 137 days and the average stay for girls was 110 days. They place children of all ages from birth to age 17.

The future UMW made a rock parade to show everyone for Palm Sunday! If you visit St. Luke's for Holy Week it is displayed outside Emily's office.
