Operation Backpack 2026 — One Backpack at a Time!
What a joy and blessing to look back on this year’s Operation Backpack! Our goal was 150 backpacks, but by God’s grace and through the generosity of our churches, volunteers, and community, we were able to serve 68 families and provide 196 backpacks to children in our area.
The smiles on the children’s faces were a beautiful reminder of why we do this. While a backpack may seem like a simple gift, it gives us an opportunity to serve our neighbors and share the love of Jesus through our words and actions. We are blessed to be His hands and feet as we serve—one child, one family, and one backpack at a time.
This year marked our 8th year of Operation Backpack, and together we have now provided more than 1,000 backpacks to children throughout Sheboygan County and the surrounding communities.
A very special thank you to the LCMS churches throughout Sheboygan County and their members for their partnership, generosity, and support, and to every volunteer who gave their time and energy to make this event possible. We could not do it without you!
What a joy. What a blessing. What a wonderful community we have, and what an amazing Lord we serve!
