If you‘ve been searching for a fun-packed summer camp for your kids, look no further; we are excited to introduce you to Camp Alta Mons!
Alta Mons is an outdoor-focused, faith-based camp located in Shawsville, VA, just 35 minutes from Virginia Tech’s campus. We are affiliated with the United Methodist church, and warmly welcome campers of all faiths and backgrounds.
Camp Alta Mons provides a beautiful space for children to unplug, connect with nature, and build meaningful, lifetime friendships. We focus on small-group Christian camping to create a close-knit, supportive community where every camper feels seen, valued, and included.
Alta Mons offers a variety of camps for rising kindergarteners through high school students, including overnight options, day camps, and adventure camps! Campers pack their days with fun outdoor activities, games, high and low ropes, swimming, craft hut projects, hikes to our beautiful waterfall plus so much more!
Our goal is not just for campers to have a great time (although they definitely will!) but to provide a transformative experience where they grow in confidence, try new things, and discover just how deeply they belong.
