Front Porch is a ministry for college students of all denominations and backgrounds. We meet together every Tuesday at 7pm to discuss aspects of spiritual life and what following Christ truly looks like. Over the past year we studied the book, “On Our Way” by Dorothy Bass and Susan Briehl, which examined several spiritual practices, such as loving our neighbor, properly taking care of our environm
ent, and loving people of different faiths. We often meet in United Presbyterian Church to cook and eat a meal together as we discuss, or we meet at SIPS for some coffee. This past year we also did some fun activities, such as bowling and putting together parachutes to distribute Bibles overseas. At Front Porch you are free to come just as you are without being judged or criticized. Though Front Porch is a Bible Study, you may not always leave with the answers to difficult questions about faith, religion, and God. This next school will be spent talking a great deal about justice and what exactly justice is. Dr. Glenn Sanders, Chad Ward, and Bethany Ward direct the group.
