Premarital counseling has a 70% more success rate for marriages than those couples that don’t get it. It also saves money on the marriage license and reduces the risk of divorce.

The biblical counseling method utilizes the scripture as the source of magnifying glass that walks along as a guide on the side by focusing the individual pointing to Christ as the source of hope of healing.

In the Bible, the two greatest commandments tell us to love God and others (Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37-38). Nowhere in Scripture are we told to put ourselves first, loving ourselves. A command to love ourselves is unnecessary since we already do enough of that; in fact, you are commanded to love others in the same way which you ALREADY love yourself (Matthew 22:39; Galatians 5:14, Ephesians 5:28-29). One of the self-centered characteristics of those who reject the faith in the last days is "loving self" (II Timothy 3:1-2). True happiness comes when we look for opportunities to put others first. Look to do something for someone today, even if it means opening the door for someone.

When you feel the devil’s attacks, your offensive weapon is the "sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" (Ephesians 6:17‬). Jesus exemplified this strategy during His contest with Satan in the wilderness. Each time the devil tempted Jesus, Christ responded with the Scriptures (Matthew 4). We must read the Bible, meditate on it, and use it against the devil.

This page is going to be posting short studies with questions for you to ponder on each day (hopefully). The purpose of these biblically-led studies is to help us by teaching us the need to examine ourselves biblically so we can live in a manner that pleases God. A life that glorifies God is a victorious Christian life. Please feel free to post your comments or questions. I’m eager to see what your thoughts are. Let’s see how this goes.
I feel a good starting point is this. According to His mercy, God provides salvation through faith as a free gift of His grace (His unmerited favor), not because of any good thing in you and not because of any good thing you can do to deserve His love and favor.
Ephesians 2:8-9 reads, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Question(s): Although salvation is free, do you still find yourself trying to please God so you’ll be able to get into Heaven?
If you’re saved, are there still times when you don’t have assurance of that salvation?
If you’re a good person, do you feel that that’s enough to get into Heaven?

Having biblical knowledge is important but the goal for the believer is to KNOW God and have an intimate relationship with Him – not just to know about Him. The goal is for God to speak to you, allowing you to conform to and grow in Christ.

God has given us appropriate pleasures to enjoy but don’t expect to discover ultimate meaning in them. God has intentionally created dissatisfaction in life to drive you to him (Ecclesiastes gleaning’s chapter 2).

It is quite true to say, “I can’t live a holy life,” but you can decide to let Jesus make you holy. -Oswald Chambers

Jesus constantly intercedes as an advocate for you to God and fully understands your weaknesses (Hebrews 2:18. 4:15-16, 7:25; 1 John 2:1).
