Great learning experience!

The Shawnee Police Department is now accepting applications for the Junior Police Academy, happening June 8–12, 2026 at Gordon Cooper Technology Center.

This hands-on program is open to youth ages 12–17 and gives participants a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement. From interactive training to team-building activities, students will gain valuable insight into what it takes to serve and protect a community.
