At the Shawnee Church today, folks were blessed!

Elder Nathan Shires, executive secretary for the Oklahoma Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, presented a powerful sermon on the lost sheep and how Jesus loved…..and hunted….for them!

The symbolism is that He loves and hunts for us…as sinners who wonder away.

Luke 15:4-5

Nathan’s sermon title was Homecoming, appropriate for those of us who wonder away.

Other highlights of the day…..seeing Brother Tim who’s visiting HOME from the Philippines (pictured with Keith Dobbs).

Seeing Tyler (also with Keith) who came from visiting inmates in an Oklahoma prison this morning…..he’s welcoming them HOME to the Father’s outstretched arms.

Thank you to Ruby Silva for welcoming members and visitors to services today.

Thank you for Jessica Bourlon’s special music about the quest for a heavenly home with a view.

And, thank you to Siedra Tiger for her children’s story…..a testimony of her getting some craft material in her eye….and trying to get it out so she can SEE more clearly.

Matthew 7:3–5 (New International Version) tells the message best:

³ “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? ⁴ How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
