Once we give our lives to Jesus, we are invited to relearn what it means to be a child. We can give Him the burdens we were never meant to carry alone. It turns out we are safer than we’ve ever imagined– to trust, take risks, take steps of faith, rest, enjoy, and celebrate just like children who are safe and loved.
Child of God. That’s your name.
For the one who feels like you’ll never be set free from the shame of who you were or what you’ve done… you are more than you’ve been told. Jesus calls you Free, Indeed (John 8:36).
When we give our lives to Jesus, the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead now lives in us. We have a new kind of posture, perspective, and power surging within us.
If God is not enough to raise us from the dead, if He’s not enough to save us from our lives of sin, if He’s not enough to redeem us from all the places we’ve been, then He couldn’t have been enough to resurrect Christ. So we have been made alive, or Jesus is still dead.
But since He is not— since the tomb is empty and no Savior’s bones are lying amongst a graveyard— we know that death has long been conquered.
You are not chained to your past
Free, Indeed. That’s your name.
You may be carrying burdens you don’t have to anymore. You may be living in chains you don’t have to live in anymore.
Surrender them to God, and live as the free Child of God you really are.
Love You! Asst. Pastor Hope Phillips

Sometimes life happens and we're caught off guard by the events that transpire. Unplanned events can leave us feeling anxious, unsure, helpless, and at times, hopeless. There're times you may get knocked down onto a mat of shame and despair unable to stand back on your feet, but there's a loving and forgiving God in your corner. God does not live in the moment. He has knowledge of every moment. He's Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End and I'll like to add that He's also the in-between. He's not caught off guard by our trials nor our responses to those trials. There's not one moment that He did not see coming. When He created us, He already knew those moments when our bodies would hit the mat. He also knew that the purpose He assigned to each of us would be greater than any hit that life would thrown at us. It’s time to get back up. He is not just in your corner, He is right on that mat with you. Lift up your eyes and let God be the center of your focus. Have a bless day 🙏. Love you. Assistant Pastor Hope ❤️

We are all Sons and Daughters by FAITH
Galatians 3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Schoolmaster is a defined as a male teacher in school. When this passage of scripture was written by Paul he was describing the fact that the schoolmaster was no longer necessary. There were false teachers among the Galatian Christians teaching that you could only come to Jesus through Judaism - the law. Aren't you glad that we are made right before God because of who Jesus is and what He did for us, especially what He did for us in His sacrifice at the cross and His victory in resurrection!! We are all Sons and Daughters through faith in Christ Jesus.
To be among the sons and daughters of God means we have a special relationship with God as a loving and caring Father. It is a place of closeness, affection, special care, and attention. To become a son or daughter of God means that we put our trust in Him both now and for eternity. Paul didn’t say believers were baptized into water but baptized into Christ. In water baptism one is immersed in water, so when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, we are immersed in Jesus. God wants us to be fully immersed in Jesus. When we live as baptized into Christ, you don’t see much of “me” anymore; you mostly see Jesus - we have put on Christ. Those who were baptized into Christ really have put on Christ. Now they are called to live each day consistent with the spiritual reality.
If you by faith are in Jesus, then you are a child of God. You are immersed in the Savior. You have put on Christ. Jesus came that we would have life and have it more abundantly John 10:10- Now live it!!

Where does your trust lie?

If we look to the world, we will get discouraged. It seems like everything that can go wrong is going wrong. We definitely cannot put our trust in the Government. The officials that are supposed to make decisions for our country are lining their own pockets while the poor get poorer. These past two weeks have been a test of my faith - I am sure I am not the only one. Even though, I may not like what my eyes see and what I am experiencing right now, I can still have joy knowing that God is in control of my life. If He allows these seasons, He has already provided even in the midst of what I cannot see. David, a man after God's own heart encouraged himself in the Lord - 1 Samuel 30: 1-20. David and his men returned from battle and discovered that his enemy had burned the city and taken the women and children captive - including his two wives. David was greatly distressed but he encouraged himself in the Lord v6. He remembered he served a God that was able to do all things and enquired of the Lord and followed His instructions. God said pursue and you will recover ALL. If he had keep looking at all the enemy had done and not remembered to seek God, he would have been defeated. David recovered ALL - not only all that was taken but God gave him more - overflow! He put his trust in God and did not lean to his own understanding but acknowledged God. Proverbs 3:5-10. You see, God has a great plan for all of our lives if we seek Him and trust Him. Jeremiah 29:11-13. So whatever, we are going through its only for a season - Greater is coming!!

Make Me, Shape Me, Mold Me . . .Thy Will Be Done
Jeremiah 18:1The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,2 Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. 3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, 6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. Make – cause something to exist that was not there before. Shape – form, image, give a particular form. Mold – fashion, work, guide, direct control. So, God made man in His image and placed him in the garden of Eden, gave him instructions, and a command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God saw that Adam was lonely, so He made him a “helpmeet” Eve. Then up popped the devil and beguiled the woman, and she beguiled Adam to disobey God – sin entered. God had given the command to Adam and told him that he would surely die if he ate from the tree. But God so loved His creation he cursed them and banished them from the garden instead. Now, how does this relate? Adam was created from the dust of the ground – Genesis 2:7. What is clay made of? – Soil. The same substance used on the potter’s wheel. When the Word came to Jeremiah, I can imagine, God was saying, “Let me make you over” into a vessel of honor. Romans 9:19-21. God wants to make us vessels of honor. We must stay on that wheel until we are delivered from the things that hinder our walk with Christ. God doesn’t destroy the lump of clay – He makes, shapes and molds us. How? By studying His Word, praying without ceasing, trials and tribulations, leaning and depending on Jesus, Who is the Way, Truth and our life. John 14:6. We must stop trying to “conform” to this world and “be ye transformed” by the renewing of our minds. Romans 12:1-2. Everything we need is found in Jesus. No, it won’t happen overnight. 1 Peter 5:6-11 gives us instruction and assurance to know that we can “cast our care upon Him… and He will exalt us.” Your “due season” is coming. Galatians 6:9

Galations 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.

Growing weary in doing good is an ever-present danger in the Christian life. But there are things we can do to minimize weariness. Jesus scheduled times of rest, and so should we (Mark 6:31). Overcommitting ourselves is a primary cause of weariness among Christians. We want so much to contribute and to respond to God’s love by pouring ourselves into ministry for His sake that we risk burnout. Discernment is essential. God will provide for each need He wants to fulfill. He is, after all, in charge of it all. Not a sparrow falls without His seeing it (Matthew 10:29). He will ordain the means to accomplish His ends. Sometimes all He really wants from the overcommitted is for them to quiet their hearts and be still before Him (Psalm 46:10; Luke 10:41).

Paul points us past our labors to the prize at the end: those who persevere in doing good are promised to reap rewards. When we become disheartened, the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit brings relief and gratitude to our hearts and glory to God. Just like the sower of seed must wait for the harvest, the Christian must wait patiently for the rewards that will inevitably come from the Giver of all good things (James 1:17). We will not give up, because our Lord is faithful. “Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Love you!
