Temple Israel Brotherhood Breakfast Series
Sunday, November 17, 10am
“Safeguarding our Jewish Students on the University Campus”
Rabbi Aaron Fine
Executive Director of Hillel
University of Massachusetts at Amherst

The program will begin with a short presentation by Rabbi Fine focusing on how Hillel responds to the crisis of antisemitism on university campuses, what he and Hillel are doing to provide support to students, and the role he and Hillel are playing in dealing with their administrations. Following the presentation, Rabbi Fine will be joined by college students who will describe what the last two years have been like on their campuses and will take questions from the audience.

Rabbi Aaron Fine went to Oberlin College where he majored in Jewish Studies and acquired a Masters in Jewish Education at Hebrew College in Boston. He served for five years as the rabbi of Temple Sinai in Marblehead, MA, and during that time founded an intercommunal Jewish learning program, Torah Hub. He has served as the Executive Director of UMass Hillel since 2014, where his role includes supervising senior staff, fundraising, grants, strategic planning, working with the Hillel Board of Directors and campus and organizational partners, and advising student groups.

Join riders from Temple Israel or support them with a donation. Several of our members are working hard to assure the event is a success. The event supports the Tilkah Program at Camp Ramah Palmer.

Tour de Shuls is the fundraiser for the Tikvah program at Camp Ramah New England which provides for the social, religious and educational needs of campers with a wide range of disabilities.
