Young Israel of Sharon

Young Israel of Sharon The Young Israel of Sharon is a Modern Orthodox shul with a warm, friendly, and relaxed atmosphere. In 2001, Young Israel moved to its present day facility.

Young Israel of Sharon opened its doors in 1972 with just a minyan of families. Today, we are experiencing 10% annual growth and have currently reached about 220 member families. Set against the backdrop of Lake Massapoag, where families spend summer days and nights relaxing at the town beach, the Town of Sharon is a traditional New England small town that happens to be 70% Jewish. With downtown B

oston and Providence each just a half hour away via commuter rail or easily accessible I-95, Sharon attracts everyone from academics and physicians, to high-tech and business professionals. From a Jewish life standpoint, the community boasts Mikvah Mei Ezra, an Eruv, and shares its building with Striar Hebrew Academy of Sharon (http://striarhebrew.org/), serving students Toddler-age through 5th grade. We have numerous Rabbanan, Talmidei Chakhamim, and Yeshivaleit, with shiurim multiple times per week and all year round, including our Summer Beit Midrash. Educational opportunities abound with learning and programming opportunities for both children and adults, currently virtually. For shul and membership information, visit http://yisharon.org or email [email protected].
