URGENT! PLEASE HELP!
Mercer County Food Bank is in desperate need of additional volunteers to help with packing shelf stable food boxes at the food bank as well as helping at the time of the Mobile Pantry Food Distribution to be held at Reynolds Elementary school. The shifts available are as follows:
This THURSDAY June 18th from 9am-12pm at the food bank – Assembly Line Style Food Box Packing (11 additional volunteers needed) Volunteers would need to arrive at 8:55am at the food bank. Volunteers will add products into food boxes assembly line style, in preparation of giving the shelf stable boxes to our neighbors in need at the upcoming distribution. Tennis shoes are required.
This SATURDAY June 20th from 10:45am-1:30pm at Reynolds Elementary School, Greenville. Outdoors, rain or shine (4 additional volunteers needed) Volunteers would need to arrive at 10:45am with the distribution ending at 1pm followed by a quick clean up. This is an outdoor volunteer shift, loading vehicles of our neighbors in need of food assistance with assorted groceries, fresh produce, and assorted meats. The distribution will occur rain or shine, please dress according to the weather, bring water and tennis shoes/boots are required.
Please consider donating a few hours of your time to ensure our neighbors in need of food assistance do not have to go to bed hungry wondering where their next meal will come from.
