Prayer walk into the community. We had our first prayer walk today. It was small but mighty. I am calling all the prayer warriors to join us next time, but meanwhile, if you can’t wait until next time, we have a prayer walk brochure at the lobby and a map for you to walk and pray. We have a prayer walk map on the bulletin board at the entrance; please mark the routes that you have walked and prayed. We will not stop walking and praying until all the streets have been covered with our feet and prayers. If you can’t walk, you may drive and pray. The point is to pray for our community, make a connection, and be the bridge. May God hear our prayers and bring healing and restoration. May God’s kingdom come on earth and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is only a beginning. Join us!

Our first Church by the Lake for this year starts this Sunday, June 7th, at 8:30am, at the East Marina in Lake Carroll! You do not have to be a member of our church to come. Our worship is open to everyone who wants to praise God while being outdoors in a relaxed environment. We will still hold our normal worship at Bethel United Methodist Church in Shannon at 10:30am. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hot dog ministry #7. Today was a double duty, with our team supporting two teams at Lions park front and back diamond and cooking nearly 200 hot dogs. We appreciate the outstanding efforts of everyone involved and thank those who participated and those who provided support behind the scenes. We have passed the halfway point of the season and are experiencing growth in connections and appreciations from community. Keep up the good work.

Ping Pong & Video Game Night!
During the summer months, Bethel church will be open every Monday night from 5-7 pm to invite our community to come and play ping pong and video games. If you want to be a Shannon ping pong champion on Labor Day weekend come and learn from a 2x champion.
All ages are welcome. We have three ping pong tables ready and two rooms with video games (Wii Room) & (Nintendo room). If you have games you'd like to bring, that will be great, but we will have something ready for you. There will be snacks & drinks for you to enjoy, but you are welcome to bring your own. So come and bring your friends or your whole family. Come and learn from the best and have great fellowship. It starts this Monday, the 8th of June.

Hot Dog Ministry #5 & #6, I forgot to take pictures on #5. We were at Eastland school field supporting and watching the Eastland girls' softball game. Today, we were at Lions park back diamond, serving 100 hot dogs, then ran out of propane gas towards the end, but were able to feed everyone. We got more words out for VBS and got a registration, and invited a few to come to ping-pong and video game night every Monday night throughout the summer. It starts next week. I will post something about that tomorrow, so look for that. What countless volunteer work all of you put in, and the donations. We have one more game this week, tomorrow, serving both fields, front and back diamond, at Lions park, so come out, enjoy the game, and hot dogs, and cheer for the kids. See you tomorrow.

Hot Dog Ministry #4. So grateful for all the support and love that the people of Bethel have put in. We made more connections with the community and brought the church out in the park. We are being witnesses for God's kingdom again tonight. Many thanks to all of your donations, supports and volunteers.
