Seeking God is more than showing up.
Seeking God is relational.

It means bringing something to Him.
Listening to what He says.
And being willing to obey.

Uzziah was blessed as long as he sought the Lord.

When God gives clarity, take the first step.

If you’re trying to have a conversation with God, start with honest questions:
Lord, who?
Jesus, what?
Father, how?
Spirit, where and why?

Take time with the Lord. Let Him answer.
And once He does, lean into the first step.

The compromise of “God AND…” and “God UNTIL…”

Amaziah did what was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a loyal heart.
That is a sobering warning.

Compromise is not always rejecting God outright.
Sometimes compromise looks like trying to serve God and other things at the same time.

“God AND my comfort.”
“God AND my control.”
“God AND my reputation.”

And sometimes compromise sounds like:

“God UNTIL obedience costs too much.”
“God UNTIL I have to surrender this.”
“God UNTIL He asks for that.”

God is not only after right actions.
He is after a heart that belongs fully to Him.

Repentant people need restoration, not isolation.

In 2 Corinthians 2, Paul warns the church not to let sorrow, condemnation, and isolation swallow up a repentant brother.

The church must take sin seriously.
But when there is repentance, we are also called to take restoration seriously.

Forgiveness and comfort are not weakness.
They are part of how the church resists the enemy’s devices.

The God you know before the crisis is the God you need during the crisis.

If you’re already seeking the Lord when the trial comes, you don’t have to scramble to find Him.

You already know where to turn.
You already know who He is.
You already have a place to stand.

Don’t wait for chaos to start seeking God.

God’s comfort is strength through the difficulty.

In 2 Corinthians 1, Paul says God comforts us in our tribulation.

Not just after it ends.
Not only when the pressure lifts.
But right in the middle of the weight we cannot carry on our own.

And as God strengthens us, He teaches us how to strengthen others.
