🙌🏾 **WHAT A POWERFUL CONCLUSION TO OUR REVIVAL!**
On our final night, **Rev. Dr. Carlon L. Lassiter** delivered a timely and encouraging message entitled:
**“Your Strength Is Gone, but God Is Not!”**
Coming from **Isaiah 40:27–31**, he reminded us that when our strength has been depleted, **God is still there**. He is the everlasting God. He does not faint, and He does not grow weary. Instead, He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of those who feel weak.
When your courage is collapsing, **God is not**. He will step into your human situation and give you strength for your struggles. Even when circumstances do not look good or feel good, God sees us, feels our pain, and remains present.
🙏🏾 **Faint not, child of God—God is always there!**
Rev. Lassiter reminded us that this is the true purpose of revival:
✨ To renew our strength
✨ To restore what has been lost
✨ To revive those who, for just a moment, forgot who God is
✨ To restore what the struggles of life have worn down
✨ To prepare us for the assignment ahead
If you want that renewing power, **call on Jesus!** He is always there. In our weakness, God becomes our strength. He breathes new life into us and gives us the endurance we need to complete the assignment He has placed before us.
When you feel like giving up, **keep walking—even through the wounds**. Every step you take becomes part of your testimony!
What a wonderful three nights of preaching, praise, worship, fellowship, and renewal! We thank **Rev. Clifton E. Collins Jr., Rev. Kirk T. Houston Jr., and Rev. Dr. Carlon L. Lassiter** for allowing God to use them to pour into our hearts.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our Interim Pastor, **Rev. Harvey Cook**, for his faithful leadership, steady presence, and unwavering support. His kindness, encouragement, and commitment to First Baptist Church of Hockley have been a true blessing to our church family, and we are grateful for the many ways he continues to stand with us and serve alongside us.
Most of all, we thank God for reminding us that:
🙏🏾 **We have been in this place too long.**
🙏🏾 **God is not through with us yet.**
🙏🏾 **Our strength may be gone—but God is not!**
May the fire, strength, and renewed faith we received during this revival remain with us long after the services have ended.
🍽️ **CHURCH AND COMMUNITY FELLOWSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT**
In the tradition of fellowship following our revival, we will come together as a church family and community to continue celebrating the spiritual renewal, encouragement, and joy that have filled our hearts throughout this wonderful week.
This year, our traditional **Family and Friends Day** is being combined with our **Everybody’s Birthday Celebration** for one joyful occasion filled with food, fellowship, family, and fun!
⚠️ **Please note the schedule change:** Due to possible inclement weather, the celebration originally scheduled for today from noon until 5:00 p.m. has been moved to **immediately following our worship service on Sunday, August 23**.
🥘 **Members are kindly asked to bring a dish to share** as we come together around the table in the spirit of love, fellowship, and community.
We invite everyone to remain after service and join us as we celebrate God’s goodness, our church family, our community, and every birthday represented throughout the year. We look forward to sharing this special occasion with you!
