Un gran privilegio haber compartido y conocido al Dr. Hodgson. Nuestro mas sentido pesame a toda su familia.
Cuatro años de estudio y cuatro décadas de fruto:

Four years of study and four decades of impact
Corría el año de 1982 cuando un joven nicaragüense, radicado en los Estados Unidos, llegó al Seminario Nazareno de las Américas – SENDAS- obedeciendo un llamado de Dios a prepararse para ser un pastor. Durante cuatro años estudió fuertemente graduándose con el título de Licenciatura en Teología, no sin antes dejar establecida junto a otros estudiantes y el Dr. Jerry D. Porter, rector en aquellos años, la vibrante Iglesia de San Pedro de Poás. Después de cuatro décadas, su influencia en la iglesia hispana tanto en América del Norte como en todo el mundo hispano ha producido nuevos pastores que están sirviendo en distintas partes del globo. El nombre de este estudiante destacado era Roberto Hogdson.
Además de SENDAS, Roberto graduó del Wesley Theological Seminary y de la Graduate Theological Foundation en donde obtuvo un Doctorado en Ministerio.
El Dr. Hogdson se nos adelantó hoy para estar en la presencia del Señor. Todo la familia SENDAS está profundamente triste y conmovida por su pérdida, y se solidariza con sus seres queridos en esta hora de dolor profundo. Damos gracias al Señor por la esperanza gloriosa que tenemos en Cristo, que un día nos volveremos a encontrar para adorar juntos al Cordero de Dios por toda la eternidad!

It was in 1982 when a young Nicaraguan, living in the United States arrived at the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas – SENDAS – obeying God’s call to prepare to be a pastor. During those four years he studied diligently graduating with a degree of Licenciatura in Theology. Before leaving, he had joined Dr. Jerry D. Porter, seminary president at the time, and other students to establishing the Church of the Nazarene in San Pedro de Poas. Four decades later, his influence in the Hispanic church in North America and the Hispanic world globally has produced pastors who are serving in different parts of the world. The name of this distinguished student was Roberto Hodgson.
After leaving SENDAS, Roberto graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary and from the Graduate Theological Foundation where he earned a Doctor in Ministry degree.
Rev. Dr. Hodgson passed away today and is now in the presence of the Lord. The entire SENDAS family is profoundly saddened and moved by his loss. We join with his loved ones during this hour of deep pain. We give thanks to the Lord for the glorious hope we have in Christ, that one day we will meet again to worship the Lamb of God for all eternity!
