LifeFocus New Testament Week 36 Wrap
Colossians 4:2 - 1 Thessalonians 5:11 | August 31 - September 6, 2026
Paul closes his letter by encouraging believers to remain devoted to prayer, live wisely among those outside the church, and speak with grace. He also sends greetings and recognizes several faithful coworkers who have served alongside him in spreading the gospel. Paul gives thanks for the Thessalonian believers and their growing faith, love, and endurance. He reflects on his ministry among them, encourages them to live holy lives that please God, and urges them to love one another, work faithfully, and live in a way that earns the respect of others.
We also see Paul comfort believers who are grieving by reminding them of the hope they have in Christ’s return and the resurrection of those who have died in Him. He explains that the day of the Lord will come unexpectedly, so Christians should remain spiritually awake, faithful, and prepared. Rather than living in fear, believers are called to put on faith, love, and the hope of salvation, encouraging and building one another up as they wait for Christ.
