Join us for worship and music provided by the choral institute this week!

Next week, June 14-21, marks the official re-launch of The Choral Institute at Sewanee. High school students from various parts of the USA will convene at Sewanee. Under the direction of Dr. Geoffrey Ward, university organist and choirmaster, they will join with music mentors, members of The University Choir, for a week of daily rehearsals and several services in All Saints' Chapel. The public is invited to all of these services and we hope you can support the Choral Institute and these fine choristers as they expand their choral horizons, make new friends, and get to know more about University of the South.

The University Choir is on the road in Canada! From Halifax to Amherst and beyond, Sewanee’s 70-member University Choir is sharing a rich tradition of sacred music as part of its 2026 summer tour through Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. The tour concludes this Sunday at the Cathedral Church of All Saints in Halifax, with services at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.—both available via livestream. It was an honor to have Jon Meacham, C’91 speak at baccalaureate this weekend! The Very Rev. Chris Epperson, dean of All Saints’ Chapel and university chaplain, was able to spend some time with him before his address to the graduates on Saturday. More photos from the weekend to come!

We are excited to celebrate commencement this Sunday at All Saints’ Chapel at 10 a.m. Due to the festivities, we will have one service of Holy Eucharist at 7:30 a.m. in St. Augustine’s Chapel. We hope you will join us! Congratulations to the class of 2026.

On Sunday we prayed for our senior choir members, sacristans, and all who have been faithful in worship during their time at Sewanee. We will miss these students!
