Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 NIV
Matthew 7 tells us, Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. God will not force himself on you, it behoves each of us to ask. Talk to God about it. Open your heart to him and tell him your hurts and your desires. Your Father in Heaven desires a close and personal relationship with you.
Take a moment to meditate on these verses. God has a place and a plan for each christian, no one is left out. We may have trials and tribulations on this earth but God always stands ready to listen to us. He loves us more than we can imagine. In Hebrews 13 it tells us that God will never leave us or forsake us. Actually the Greek emphasis is much stronger. The meaning would be more like, I will never, no never, not in any wise forsake you.
