Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church Welcoming all to grow and serve in Christ. Woods Church was established in Severna Park in 1912 and is home to over 1700 members.

Our weekly service times are 9:30AM and 11AM on Sundays. At Woods, you will find a vibrant congregation of active Christian people, doing all kinds of things that our members feel are following the will of God and spreading the faith. Our vision is to be a voice of faith transforming lives and society through Jesus Christ; as such we are both an Earth Care Congregation, and a Matthew 25 Congregati

on under the Presbyterian Church (USA) denomination. As an active part of the greater Severna Park community, Woods is also home to the Woods Child Development Center and the Woods Counseling and Care Center. Woods also established the Severna Park Community Center in 1995. Members of the community are drawn to Woods because of their desire to experience meaningful worship and true fellowship. Worship is Christ-focused, from the music to the sermons to the sacraments. Members experience sermons that are powerful, inspirational, compelling, encouraging, and relevant. Members grow in their faith and deepen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and are better prepared to serve as his disciples in their local communities and the world at large.

Congratulations to the cast and Crew of "The Prince of Egypt" for winning 1st Place - Outstanding Achievement in a Musical - at the Ruby Griffith Awards! The Ruby Griffith awards are designed to elevate the quality of local community theatre in the Baltimore/Washington area and reward excellence and outstanding achievement. As is the mission of all our ministries, Woods strives to produce art that glorifies God and has a positive impact in our community. Winning this award is a true honor.

And congratulations to all the local theaters for their amazing productions this past year. We could not do what we do without the support and artistry of those from all across the theater community. Spring Senior Dinner celebrating our Nation’s 250th birthday!

The Deacons of Woods Church invite all who are 70 years and older to a Spring Fellowship Dinner on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 5:30 – 7:30PM in Fellowship Hall as we celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday.

Entertainment will be provided by Woods’ own Myra Dennis and Geoff Wood as members of the First Maryland Regiment 18th Century Living History organization.

Come to see and learn about life during the 18th century while enjoying great food and fellowship. Patriotic attire encouraged!
