Isaiah 64 :6 "All of us are dirty with sin all the right things we have done are like filthy pieces of cloth all of us are like dead leaves and our sins like the wind have carried us away no one worship you or even ask you to help us." Sometimes we need to be reminded about our status in life. Isaiah said ""All" . of us are dirty with sin. Then it doesnt seem fair that we should judge a person by one bad day they are having. In fact isaiah's comments should put our judgment on the top of the list of things not to do. There is however a way to see what the other days of a person might be like. Some would call that our ability to be fruit inspectors. There is judgment coming for all of us at some point in the afterlife. We will all stand before God and receive what rewards or lack of rewards will be ours. So much time is wasted by judging others, when clearly Isaiah tells us we have all sinned. However Isaiah reveals a time later when the Wolves and the lambs will eat together in peace. He says I will make a new heaven and a new Earth and people will not remember the past or think about those things we will be happy forever.(64:17) I especially like verse 20 that tells us a "person who lives 100 years will be called young." perhaps we should spend less time talking about the sins of others and more time . getting rid of our own sin. Isaiah 53 shows us a very vivid picture of Jesus as the suffering servant. As Easter approaches we can see perhaps a better path of being a servant of the most high God. This time would be a good time to be introspective of our own misdoings. Being the hands and feet of Jesus is a huge task. It does however bring the greatest of rewards. Perhaps those rewards will not be seen here but by faith know they wait for you. A new season is upon us. It would do us well to make every season a new season. A season designed to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to others and to renew our commitment to the Lord as his servants. Today could be our last day here on Earth. What kind of a day would you be able to say you had at the end of today? I trust God will give you a day to remember. A day that will remind you and others of his great love. Pastor K
