is our next Pressing On 60+ Adult Luncheon.

Last September, Anastasia Lambert, our guest speaker, provided an introduction to Artificial Intelligence, including a definition and examples of its impact on our daily lives. We look forward to having her back for our February luncheon. The rise of artificial intelligence is transforming fraud, giving criminals powerful new tactics to deceive. Anastasia will present insights on Artificial Intelligence and share how AI tools are increasingly used in scams. Most of us face attempts to defraud us daily, making it important to know how to best protect our identities. Join us for this valuable session and bring your questions to learn practical steps for staying safe.

At today’s Pressing On 60+ Adult Luncheon, Jerry and Karen Flowers’ presentation provided us with suggestions and tools to aid us in passing on a legacy to our children , grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Karen and Jerry Flowers will share what they have learned in their involvement with the Legacy Coalition and its Grandparenting Matters curriculum. They will highlight key principles to help grandparents and great-grandparents embrace their biblical privilege. Their goal is to inspire us to be more intentional about grandparenting and leaving a spiritual legacy with our families. If you are not a grandparent, the information you gather can help you minister to and encourage someone who can benefit from what they share.

Today’s New Hope Pressing On 60+ November Luncheon featured the game show “Not-So-Newlywed” emceed by Nick Nichols. It was a fun time for the contestants and the audience. The Thanksgiving meal provided by Karen Frnka and her staff was delicious. “Thank you” to all those working behind the scenes to make today a great time. Enjoy the photos below. "Not-So-Newly-Wed" with Host Nick Nichols

Come and join us at New Hope Baptist Church this Thursday, November 13, 2025, for a fun time as "pre-selected" seasoned married couples compete to see how much they really know about each other. Enjoy as host Nick Nichols sends one spouse away while presenting questions to the remaining spouse. Will the spouses have the same responses to the questions? Three couples will compete in each round. Each contestant receives a Chick-fil-A gift card, and the overall winning couple gets a $50.00 gift card.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: There has been a change in the meeting room location. Rather than gathering in the Sanctuary, the luncheon will take place down the hall in the Children's Warehouse room.

To register, you can call the church office Monday through Wednesday at 770-461-4337 and ask the secretary to add you to the list, or you can email Aaron Sexton at [email protected] at any time, and he will add you. It is important to register so that Karen Frnka can prepare the appropriate amount of food.

Today, we are spotlighting the Together Strong New Hope Widows Care Ministry, led by Debbie Babb. During their November monthly meeting, Diane McLean shared her testimony, focusing on God’s faithfulness and His steadfast presence in her life.

"Together Strong is for widows who choose to navigate through grief, loneliness, and life together as we follow Jesus. We pray God draws us closer to Him and strengthens us to provide comfort, support, and encouragement to each other while serving Him.

We meet monthly to pray and share with one another, hold weekly book studies, and hear speakers who share insights into important issues that we now face. And throughout each month, you will receive impromptu invitations to join others for food, fellowship, and fun. Together we are Strong! Diane Nichols, thank you for organizing a wonderful trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains, which started with a wonderful lunch at Pat’s Kountry Kitchen in McCaysville. Visits to Mercier's Orchards and then to Panorama Orchards & Farm Market provided opportunities to purchase apples, pies, and ice cream.

Today’s New Hope Pressing On 60+ Adult Luncheon was truly a testament to the power of community and friendship as David Akin shared memories through his music, uplifting our spirits. David, it is always an inspiration to have you with us! Cathy Hairston and her team did an outstanding job with fall table centerpieces focusing on memories, and Karen Frnka and her team provided a delicious meal for us, nourishing both body and soul.
