Pastor Ted Edgar and the family of Full Gospel Temple invite you to join us for our annual Homecoming service celebrating 69 years of God’s faithfulness. Service begins at 10:30 AM with worship, the message from guest speakers Richie and Lisa King as well as special music. Bring a dish and join us for dinner and fellowship following the service.
About our guests: Richie was born and raised in Fayetteville, GA. Early on, he developed a passion for both live and recorded music. He graduated from Georgia State University in 1993 with a degree in Audio Engineering. After graduation, Richie spent a year in Nashville, TN as an audio technician. Growing up, his family often made trips to Walhalla to visit his mother’s family. Richie grew to love the area, and after working in Nashville, the Lord sent Richie to Walhalla permanently. He began attending Full Gospel Temple in 2001 and soon joined the sound team. Richie says that “was a dream” for him, and he blessed the church with his talent and helped grow the music ministry for several years.
Richie met and married his wife, Lisa, a few years later, and together they attended the church until the fall of 2006. For the last 18 years, they have attended Foothills Fellowship Church in Westminster. They have a daughter, Elizabeth, who recently graduated from Foothills Christian School, and a son, Chris, who is about to start the 10th grade. Lisa works as the Resource and Spanish teacher at the school.
Richie currently serves as a Regional Sales Manager for Choice Books. The mission statement for Choice Books is “to put the good news of Jesus Christ into the general marketplace.” Retail partners, including Wal-Mart, grocery stores, travel centers and hospital gift shops, allow Choice Books to display and sell books in their stores. These retailers serve as platforms for the gospel as they present Bibles, devotionals, puzzle books, children’s books and many other categories of Christian literature.
