This basic Level 1 course is an essential introduction to the complex issues surrounding church safety and security. Key topics include team development, vulnerability assessments, team management, fi****ms procedures, emergency response planning, and more. I know we said we would have the Open Mic Night whether rain or shine, but we can't supersede Mother Nature and the plan that God has for us! Given the severity of the weather over the next several hours the church leadership has made the decision to cancel tonight's singing in favor of the safety of those attending. Our next singing will be June 12th. Please make plans to be there! Stay in, stay safe, and God bless each and every one of you!

Carol Miller is at the Mobile Infirmary. She has been diagnosed with 2 breaks in her back. Please pray for her and Bobby.

We need prayer warriors! Please pray for Carol Miller. She has suffered a broken back in 2 places and is at the Saraland ER. Also, please pray for Casey Yarbrough and his daughters who suffered a garage fire last night. The garage was detached from the house but immediately adjacent to it. The house did not burn. However, the garage burned to the ground with all is contents. Casey praised his daughter's for their calm, bravery, and use of good common sense in getting out of the house and helping to save what they could! God bless all of our Spice Pond Baptist Church family!

I know the weather is bad today, but the show MUST go on! Prayerfully, the Lord will clear the weather up this afternoon, but rain or shine, Spice Pond Baptist Church is still having tonight's Gospel Open Mic Night beginning at 6:00 pm. The doors open at 5:00. Come see, hear, and play with some of the best gospel singers and musicians in the area. Then, join us for dinner at 7:00, with more music after! Spice Pond Baptist Church is located at 8100 Spice Pond Road in Semmes between Lott Rd and US Hwy. 45. We'll save ya a plate!

It's that time again! Gospel Open Mic Night at Spice Pond Baptist Church! The music starts at 6:00 with a potluck dinner at 7:00 and more music after! Friday's theme will be an old fashioned southern Baptist cookout. The church will be providing hot dogs and all the fixin's. You can bring the side or dessert of your choice that goes well with a backyard cookout! As usual, there is no charge to attend, but a love offering will be accepted. Come hear some of the best gospel singers and musicians in the area, or sing and play with the band yourself! Either way, it's going to be so much fun this Friday night, May 22nd, at Spice Pond Baptist Church. We're located at 8100 Spice Pond Road in Semmes between Lott Rd and US Hwy 45. Ken and Lisa McLaughlin's daughter Stephanie had been diagnosed with 80% blockage in her heart on one side and is scheduled to have a stent placed tomorrow. Please be in prayer for her.
