Please pray for Nepal….

Our hearts are heavy as Nepal faces the devastating aftermath of catastrophic flash flooding and mudslides. Hundreds are reported dead, and more than 1,300 people are still missing. Roads, bridges, and highways have been washed away, leaving many communities isolated and without communication.

Last night, Bishop Gopal Lama, National Bishop of Nepal, shared that, by God’s grace, the Church of God of Prophecy families and churches he has been able to contact are safe. However, communication with some of the most severely affected mountain communities has been completely cut off, and the full extent of the devastation is still unknown.

Bishop Gopal has personally ministered in some of these affected areas, where many tribal communities live. He is asking us to join together in showing love and compassion through prayer and, as relief efforts become possible, humanitarian aid for those who have lost so much.

Please join us in praying for Nepal. For those who have lost loved ones, for the more than 1,300 still missing, for isolated communities, and for the safety and strength of those working to bring relief.

Edit: As of Friday, reports indicate there are around 550 deceased people and almost 2,500 missing from both Nepal and Tibet, China.
