Our youth at Lutherhill Camp, near La Grange, Texas. This morning at Bible Study the group discussed Matthew 25:34-40: “Then the king will say to those at his right hand, ‘Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?’ And the king will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”

As part of the conversation the campers shared examples of kindness and service to others in need.

Thank you to Cissie Warncke for delivering the 237 lbs. of food that members of Christ Lutheran Elm Creek had collected for The Christian Cupboard in Seguin. Eric from the Cupboard advises that they appreciate any donation. Also, check out their page for updates on the the items that are most needed. Current needs are: tomato sauce, soup, and pasta sauce. Five of our youth are spending a week at Lutherhill camp near La Grange, Texas. Their days are filled with worship, prayer, fun, food, and Bible study. The stormy weather has altered some plans and activities today, but the camp staff are doing a great job keeping the youth safe while making the best of the conditions. Thankfully, the rain has dissipated as the day has moved along.

Congratulations to our high school graduates: Karis Carpenter, Jason Granato Jr, Hudson Jenner, and Sharla Maples!! May God bless you today and as you continue on your life's journey. Pictured are Sharla, Hudson, and Karis, along with Pastor Tinker and Jo Kraft. Jo presented the quilts on behalf of our church women's organization.

Holy Trinity Sunday tomorrow. All are welcome to worship with us. The Chickletts will be leading music. Fellowship starts at 8 am with tamales, chili, homemade taquitos, plus regular breakfast fare. Sunday School at 8:30 am. Worship is at 9:30 am.

Pentecost Sunday is this week. Sunday, May 24. You are invited to wear clothing and/or accessories which are red. The color red is used as the liturgical color for this high festival of the Church Year.

We will have the Pentecost Red Flower Cross this year again. You are invited to bring flowers from home or a store to decorate the flower cross.
