GOD’S APPOINTED TIMES
Have you ever wondered why God established the biblical feasts? Were they simply for ancient Israel, or do these appointed times still have something to teach believers today?
Beginning tomorrow at 10:00 AM, we invite you to join us at The Rock Church for a new teaching series,
God’s Appointed Times: Exploring the Fall Feasts of the Lord.
We will begin with Yom Teruah, the Day of Trumpets, and then continue through Yom Kippur and Sukkot.
What makes this study so meaningful is that the Spring Feasts point powerfully to what Jesus accomplished through His death, burial, resurrection, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They reveal God’s redemptive plan with remarkable clarity. Jesus fulfilled what they prophetically foreshadowed in His first coming.
So when we come to the Fall Feasts, we should pay attention.
If God was faithful to fulfill what He revealed through the Spring Feasts, then we can rest assured that He will also be faithful to fulfill every promise concerning the return of Jesus. The trumpet will sound. The King will return. Atonement will reach its appointed purpose. And God will dwell with His people.
The question is not simply, “What do these feasts mean?”
The deeper question is:
ARE WE READY FOR WHAT THEY POINT TOWARD?
Yom Teruah calls us to awaken and prepare our hearts for the coming King. Yom Kippur confronts us with the seriousness of sin, the necessity of atonement, and the mercy God has provided through Jesus. Sukkot reminds us that God’s ultimate desire has always been to dwell with His people.
We are not studying these appointed times in an effort to earn salvation. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. We are studying them because God placed them in His Word and called them “My appointed times.” As we understand them, we see the faithfulness of God, the beauty of His redemptive plan, and the hope we have in Christ’s return.
Come discover why these feasts mattered then, why they matter now, and what they may be showing us about what is still to come.
