Our 4th Annual Emanuel’s Beach Bunch weekend was a smashing success! We started with some crazy weather, a tunnel cloud or two, but ended with glorious wind, waves, and sun. We ate a smorgasbord of delicious food, even hosting a special Cajun night on Saturday as we remembered Mike and Roland, sat out under the stars with a cool breeze, yelled at the TV as we watched the Spurs, and closed our weekend with worship and Holy Communion. What a weekend! We hope you will join us June 3-6, 2027! More details will come out shortly for early reservations!

Emanuel's Ladies Aid had a busy week out and about in Seguin. On Monday they hosted bingo at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with plenty of pep and prizes. On Wednesday they presented the Christian Cupboard with a check for $1000 towards supplemental food assistance for our neighbors in Guadalupe County. Don't miss the Ladies Aid Father's Day Bake Sale on June 21 before and after worship in the narthex with donations benefitting the Christian Cupboard. These women have heart! ❤️

What a day! Bluegrass Sunday with the Hot Pickin 57s was absolutely amazing! We toe tapped, clapped, and sang with such immense joy, excitement, and praise that the sanctuary is still humming with those final verses and chords!

We were then blessed by pit master supremes at Park West as we dined, fellowshipped, and splashed for our End of Year Splash & Church Picnic! A huge thank you to volunteers across our ministries for making today happen. It was wonderful and the food was delicious.

A truly amazing way to start the summer!

Wrapping up May with great music and time with friends!

🔥PENTECOST is on Sunday, May 24. Don’t forget to WEAR RED as we rejoice in the gift of the Spirit to God’s people from all times and all places.

👥ALL TEAM MEETING NIGHT, Wednesday, May 27 at 5:30pm in the Women’s Ministry Room. All of Emanuel’s Ministry Teams gather on a single evening to share a meal, collaborate, plan, and schedule upcoming events and ministry projects.

🎻3rd ANNUAL BLUEGRASS SUNDAY with the Hot Pickin' 57s will take place on Sunday, May 31. The Worship Team invites you to bring your friends, family, and neighbors for a service that is certain to be energy-filled. The Band will lead us in singing all of our hymns, while offering their beautiful talents to every musical element of our worship service. Please join us!

💦END OF YEAR SPLASH & CHURCH PICNIC is at Park West on Sunday, May 31 following worship. We have reserved Pavilion 19, right by the splash pad, and now invite all of our youth, their friends, and our church families to a picnic and water time. Hamburgers, hotdogs, all the fixings, assorted drinks, and ice cream sundaes will be provided. (Let Pastor Marcus know if you can lend a hand with grilling, cooking, shopping, or planning.) Please bring a chair, swimsuit, sunscreen, and any umbrella or outdoor covering you might need. There's no need to RSVP, so please, just come as you are. This will be a marvelous time to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer.

It is with great celebration that we share that our phones are back up and running! Our office number has not changed so please, if you need us during our office hours, give us a ring!

You will notice a slight change to the call as our new system will, eventually, have extensions for every staff member. We are still working on those. Just stay on the line and it will ring through very quickly.

Our new system has many new features that staff will become familiar with over the next few weeks. Bear with us as we learn and call back if we happen to push the wrong button and hang up!

And most importantly, please help us give thanks to Paul S. for all of his time helping us install and navigate this major system upgrade and change. It would not have been possible without him!

Emanuel’s is so grateful for our powerhouse team of volunteers who continue to share their gifts, talents, and energy with our ministries! Over the last week, dozens and dozens of volunteer hours have been spent installing new phones, door exit sensors, and entrance devices so that we can return to “business as usual.” We are also deeply thankful for the many friendly faces who served as hosts while we waited for parts and equipment to arrive.

While so much has already been accomplished, including restoring door code accessibility to the building, our main church phone number is still in the process of transferring to our new provider. At this time, the best ways to reach office staff are by email, personal cell phone, or by stopping by the church office in person.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we complete these final steps. We are excited about these upgrades and hopeful that everything will be fully up and running very soon!

Such a beautiful celebration weekend! Saturday, our own Emanuel's Lutheran Day School filled the fellowship hall with song, smiles, diplomas, and cake as our pre-k 4 class moved their tassels toward kindergarten. Then Sunday, our sanctuary came alive with prayers, stories, and applause as we blessed and sent our graduating high school seniors. We cannot wait to see all that God will do in the lives of these incredible young people!!
