Fiesta Time is almost here! Join us on Sunday, May 4, where past and present come together to celebrate the 4th Annual Spring Fiesta and Juan Seguin School Reunion!
The festivities start at Noon. There will be food, fun, music and shared memories. The event is free and open to the public.

Our current focus areas include:
🚲 Repairing bikes to safe working order
🚲 Teaching bicycle maintenance
🚲 Distributing bikes to riders in need
🚲 Accepting donated bicycles for reuse

Backpacks, students, and educators: all were blessed during Sunday, Aug.11 services at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church. The spotlight was on the young and enthusiastic as those who attended the ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans shared their experiences through a video presentation.

La Casita Dedication & Blessing: Join us after worship on Sunday, April 21, as we dedicate and bless La Casita de Alegría. There will be an Ice Cream Social and invitation of special guests including GVEC, LoneStar Home Solutions, Mayor Dodgen and other letter of support writers for La Casita.

La Casita gets last minute touch ups and furniture assembly before it hosts its first event, The Care Givers Cafe, a shared project of Spirit of Joy and Emanuels Lutheran Churches. The support group meets the first Thursday of the month at Spirit of Joy, 9 a.m. Emanuels is the site of the group on third Sundays at 2 p.m.

Do you spend time helping others? If so, you don't want to miss out on a new opportunity for other people to provide help and support for YOU. The first ever Caregiver Cafe will be held at 9 a.m. today at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church. It's a joint effort between SOJ, Emanuel's Lutheran Church and GRMC.
