Good Morning Sedan Assembly of God Church,

This morning I am reminded of God's mercies and faithfulness.

Lam.3: 22-24

22). It is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fail not.
23).They are new every morning: great is they faithfulness.
24). The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Commentary: Jeremiah wants the people to know that all is not lost. They may have hope for the following reasons: (1).The Lord likes to show His lovingkindness; it never ceases. (2). The Lord is good and merciful to those who wait upon Him in humility and repentance.

Amen.

Good Morning Sedan Assembly of God Church,

This morning I want to share with you a few scriptures from Romans 8:35-39.

35). Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword?

36). As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37). Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.

38). For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor things present , nor things to come,

39). Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Commentary: vs. 36
No believer should think it strange if he experiences adversity, persecution, hunger, poverty, or peril. Trouble and calamity do not necessarily mean that God has deserted us, nor that He has ceased to love us. On the contrary, our suffering as believers will open up the means by which we experience more of God's love and comfort, (1 Cor. 1: 4-5). Paul assures us that in all these adversities we will overcome and be more than conquerors through Christ.

Good Morning Sedan Assembly of God Church,

Bless God from which all blessings flow!

The scripture I want to share this morning is from James 5: 16 "Confess your faults one to another, abd pray one for another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Commentary: The prayer of a man who is righteous accomplishes much. A righteous person's prayer:
(1). Draws him near to God ( Heb. 7:25);

(2). Opens the way to a Spirit-filled life (Luke 11:13; Acts1: 14);

(3). Brings him power for ministry (Acts 1:8; 4:31, 33) and Christianis devotion (Eph. 1:19);

(4). Builds him up spiritually (Jude 20);

(5). Gives him insight into Christ's provision for him (Eph. 1:16-19);

(6). Helps him overcome Satan (Dan. 10: 12-13; Eph. 6:12-13,18);

(7). Clarifies the will of God for him (Ps. 32: 6-8; Prov. 3:5-6; Mark 1:35--39);

(8). Enables him to receive
spiritual gifts.
(1 Cor. 14:1).

(9). Brings him into fellowship with God ( Matt 6:9; John 7:37; 14:16).

(10). Brings him grace, mercy and peace ( Phil. 4:6-7; Heb.4:16)

(11). Brings the lost to Christ (James 5:20).

(12). Brings him wisdom, revelation and knowledge of Christ (Eph. 1:16-17).

(13). Brings him healing (James. 5:15);

(14). Brings him deliverance from trouble ( Ps. 34: 4-7; Phil 1:19);

(15). Glorifies God with praise and thanksgiving (Ps. 100: 4);

(16). Makes the presence of Christ real to him (Rev. 3:20).

(17). Ensures him of his final salvation and of Christ's intercession for him (Heb.7:25).

Wow! That is a lot packed into one scripture!

Please continue to pray for the sick.

Update for Sunday

Good Morning Sedan Assembly of God Church,

I have a short word of encouragement for you today.

Luke 1: 37. "For with God nothing shall be impossible."

Commentary:
This verse isn't just a general statement about God's power; it is a promise that once God speaks a word or makes a decree, that word carries the inherent power to fulfill itself.

This verse serves is a "blank check for the believer's trust. It suggests that when a person encounters a "dead end"- whether spiritual, physical, or circumstantial the limit is defined by human capacity, not Divine potential.

The "Word" is the catalyst for the 'Impossible.'

Church, This should make us shout!

See you at church tonight!

Pastor Cinda

Good Morning Church,

We serve a good God who watches over us and cares for us, to the point, He gave His Son a ransom for, who-so-ever will! I want to encourage you today in the faith. God is with us; however, there is as enemy who is after the ever elect. Therefore, we must stand watch and be vigilant against the enemies attacks on our walk with God. The enemy is out to discourage, distract, and delay us in our God given assignments.

I believe we are living in the last days;

1 Tim. 4:1 Now The Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Commentary:
1). The Holy Spirit has explicitly revealed that in the latter times, there will be a falling away both from a personal faith in Jesus Christ , and spiritual truth. There will appear within the church ministers who are highly gifted and mightily anointed by God. Some will accomplish great things for God and preach gospel truth effectively, but they will depart from the faith and gradually turn to seducing Spirit's and false doctrines. Because of their former anointing and zeal for God , they will mislead many.
2). Many believers will fall away from the faith because they will fail to love the truth and resist the sinful trends of the last days. Thus, the distorted gospel of compromising ministers and educators will find little resistance in many churches.
3). The popularity of unbibical teaching will be primarily the result of Satan's directing his demonic hosts in a more intensified opposition to God's work .
4).The believer's protection against such deception involves utter loyalty to God and His inspired Word, and the knowledge that men of great charisma and anointing can be deceived and then deceive others with their mixture of truth and error. This awareness must be accompanied by a true desire within the believer's heart to do the will of God and walk in righteousness and fear of God.

As, children of the Most High God, we must protect ourselves by staying close to God through fervent prayer, reading the Word, and assembly ourselves together.

In Hebrews 10: 23-25

23). Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24). And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works;
25). Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Thank God for His Word,

Updated Schedule;

*Wednesday: May 13th
Prayer meeting 5:00 PM
Bible Study at 6:00 PM

*Sunday May 17th

Good Morning Sedan Assembly of God Church,

This morning I pray that you are encouraged by these scriptures from; 2 Samuel 22: 2-4.

2). And he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;
3).The God of my rock; in him will I trust; he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my savior; thou savest me from violence.
4).I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Be encouraged, and be blessed! See you Sunday!

Good morning Sedan Assembly of God Church,

Today, I would like to share with you a few scriptures from 1 Peter.

1 Peter 5: 6-8 says,

6). Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.
7). Casting all your care upon Him, for he careth for you.
8).Be sober, be vigilant ; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walk about, seeking whom he may devour;
9). Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Commentary: God's care for the afflictions of every one of His children is a truth emphasized throughout His Word ( Ps. 27:10 37:5; 40:17; Matt. 6:25-34; 10:29-31; 11: 28-30; Phil. 4:6) All your fears, cares and concerns must be decisively cast upon God.

***Reminder: There are no services at Sedan Assembly of God Church Wednesday May 6th due to Baccalaureate at the 1st Baptist Church at 7:00 PM for our Seniors.

See you Sunday; Mother's Day!

Pastor Cinda
