Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant Francis. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of your own fold, a lamb of your own flock, a sinner of your own redeeming. Receive him into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.

Today the Episcopal Church remembers the death of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Dietrich was a German theologian was was murdered on this day in 1945 by the N***s for his opposition to their exile regime. In the last days of his life, wrote about the Church, that "as the body of Christ, all humanity is accepted, included and borne, and that the church-community of believers is to make this known to the world by word and life." May God grant us the courage to testify to the Gospel message just as Dietrich Bonhoeffer did,

Today is the Feast of the Annunciation, when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, the Mother of God.
Pour your grace into our hearts, O Lord, that we who have known the incarnation of your Son Jesus Christ, announced by an angel to the Virgin Mary, may by his cross and passion be brought to the glory of his resurrection; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
