Studying Beneath the Surface may take some Pro Tips to help you find deeper meaning. This week's Pro Tips are:

-You can't make the story mean what it never meant
There is a balance in understanding the story in its context and the story for application today.
-Know why you are reading
It is important to why you are reading so that you aren't reading for readings sake or searching for the wrong meaning.
-Study with someone else
Studying with someone adds perspective, accountability, and an opportunity for Christian friendship.

One great way to get involved, meet new people, and grow spiritually is through our men's and women's events. There will be a men's breakfast Friday at 7 am and the women will be gathering for a conference watch party on September 25th.

First Christian Church of Sedalia Missouri is a community of Disciples seeking to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Worship with us in person or online at 9am or 11:10am.
