As we celebrate this Memorial Day, let us also pause to remember and pray:

Heavenly Father, we ask you to look with love upon those who have fallen in the defense of peace and freedom. Grant them eternal rest in Your heavenly kingdom. We also lift up in prayer all those who currently serve our country. Protect them from danger, guide their actions, and bring them safely home. Bless their families for their sacrifice, and grant our world a lasting peace.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
