8/30/26 5th Sunday Fellowship at Maranatha Baptist Church

We enjoyed good food, singing, and testimonies in Hamman Hall. A special thank you to Steve and Molly Smith for organizing and to Shell and Addie Old for helping with this event.

Thursday 8/13/2026
The August Village Dinner was a Hawaiian Luau. Diners had their choices of ham-and-pineapple skewers, shrimp cocktail, beef meatballs and smoky pork. Included were salads, other side dishes, and desserts—all reminiscent of the islands. Every item of food was donated and prepared by village residents. Delicious!
The program consisted of a skit and fashion show. This brought on lots of LAUGHS!! Thank you Elaine Haines, Fred Faust, Sue Ellen Barton, Susan McCorkle, Muriel Casas, and Vicki Ivester for a laugh out loud experience.
Afterward, our speaker Gary Brown a born again Christian and political conservative, summarized his life story and explained why he chose to run for a seat on the Highlands County School Board. His testimony, Biblical worldview, goals, and willingness to serve encouraged many.
The evening was planned by Barb Henderson and emceed by Tim Edem.
A special Thank You to Barb and all her helpers for setting up and cleaning up after.

This was the Boutique held at The Manor!!

Tuesday morning a Boutique was held at Maranatha Manor for the residents. Everyone was able to choose items. So many folks in the village donated for this very special morning. Thank you Patty Dale for allowing the ladies to do this for the residents, and allowing the use of the front room.
A Big Thank you to Addie Old, Annie Waldron, and Sue Ellen Barton for their help getting things ready before, during and after.
