St. Stephen's Episcopal Church

St. Stephen's Episcopal Church St. Stephen's was founded in 1958. We combine the beauty and mystery of sacramental worship with intellectual rigor and openness to theological inquiry.

It is an Episcopal Church, a Christian community with a Biblical faith, and traditions that draw upon both Roman Catholic and Protestant history. We draw upon a deep and rich heritage of art and music in our worship and spiritual life and we seek to respond to God's call to be a people of compassion and love. We are particularly well-suited to ministry in west Sonoma County as a community that hon

ors the diversity of gifts found among the young and old who reside in this special part of the world.

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Sonoma County Pride Parade and Festival | Saturday, June 6 πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ

Join St. Stephen's and other Episcopal congregations of Sonoma County! Those who’d like to walk in the Parade need to be in place at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of 4th Street and Brookwood in Santa Rosa - look for the Episcopal Church banner.

All the Episcopal parishes will have a shared booth at the festival in Courthouse Square, with the opportunity to engage with festival goers and share that all are welcome in the Episcopal Church. You could march in the parade and/or volunteer to be at our booth for one-hour shifts from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Saturday @ The Guerneville Library @ 11:45am

The Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence will be reading to children and their families. Conservative lay organizations (such as American TFP) and right-wing groups have targeted this family-friendly event and will be gathering to protest. Residents, families, and local officials have been invited to attend in response to protesters; this has happened before and had a real impact.

The Sonoma County Library hosts all-ages reading sessions with the Russian River Sisters, featuring books focused on inclusivity, diversity, and the joy of reading. This is a regular event, is well attended, and much enjoyed.

The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence are an international street performance organization whose members use drag and religious imagery to highlight intolerance. They have as their mission spreading joy and goodwill through community events, charitable acts, and fundraising, with a focus on the special needs of the Russian River area.
