What if the blessing at the end of the liturgy is more than a beautiful way to close the service?

Bishop Justin Holcomb reflects on the words, “The peace of God, which passes all understanding…” and reminds us that the blessing is not advice, a wish or a call to try harder. It is a promise — a covenantal act in which God places his name upon his people and gives what he promises. The peace of God is not something we manufacture or maintain. You do not keep it. It keeps you.

Hello all,

We have been exploring the option of having T-Shirts made that have our Church logo and name on them. This is an easy way to promote our Church especially when we are doing a Church event in the community, like Grill Night Out, or any of the parades, etc. We have found a local company that we have worked with before. The shirts are Ash color, Gildan brand T-shirts and the pricing is for 51 or more. There is a picture of what the shirts will look like on the sign up sheets. Here is the info:

$10.00ea for sizes Small to XL $12.00ea for sizes Small to XL

I would like to have our order in to Mr. Natale by October 1st if possible. There are sign up sheets on the bulletin boards (one on the Narthex board and one in the hallway). You can also order via email. Money will be due when the shirts arrive.

We need your name, shirts you want, size, Style (crew of V Neck). If you are able to pre-pay, great! Please make checks payable to St. Elizabeth's and we will mark you paid on the order form.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Martha J. Harris. Martha passed away on Saturday, August 15th. She was loved by so many and will be missed especially by her
St. Elizabeth's family.

There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 22nd at 10:00am followed by a light reception in the Russell Bldg.
