A lot of messages have come in asking about this year's ONLY PARTY. Unfortunately the City of Seattle has deemed it their responsibility to tell you how you can and cannot have fun. It's with heavy hearts that we announce that it is impossible for us to cap off a decade of tradition with the 2017 ONLY PARTY.

If we never meet again, know that it's been an honor to host y'all. Please stay safe and remember the Institution motto: "Dancefloors are for everyone... unless you are a racist, creeper, or homophobe."

It is with great sadness that we are announcing the end of The Institution here in Seattle and all of our warehouse locations. We will be carrying out the remaining bookings but, as of now, are not accepting any new inquiries for any of our spaces.

When we started our parties eight years ago, our regular attendance was upwards of 50 people and we could barely afford to rent a sound system. Year by year we grew bigger and bigger and our last few parties saw crowds of upwards of one thousand attendees, 4 bars, 5 rooms, and stacks on stacks of sound! Inspirational!

You have consistently amazed us Seattle. Your support and love for our underground let us build something truly amazing and you have helped write a fascinating page in our regional music history.

We would like to thank all the performers, local and international... big and small, that have ever came and played for us... there are too many to list and we'd be hard pressed to thank them in any order of importance. Of course we want to thank all of our partners and friends who helped us throughout the years like High+Tight, Nark Magazine, Camp Conception, Recess Shameless, Train Car House Party, and anyone/everyone else who ever had a hand in throwing a party with us or simply helping out with operations.
