👑 The Man God Calls After His Own Heart – Part 15 | “A Heart of Integrity and Dependence on God” 👑

In Part 15 of the series on the life of King David, Apostle Ebenezer Ackun continues uncovering the qualities that made David stand out before God. This lesson focuses on David’s integrity, teachability, repentance, and complete dependence on the Lord.

David’s life reveals that a heart after God is not built on self-confidence or perfection, but on a deep reliance upon God’s guidance, mercy, and truth. Whether facing lions and giants as a shepherd boy or leading a nation as king, David consistently learned to trust the Lord as his protector, teacher, and deliverer.

Even when David failed, he did not harden his heart. He returned to God in humility, desiring truth in the inward parts and asking God to cleanse and restore him. David’s integrity was not the absence of weakness—it was the willingness to walk honestly before God and remain responsive to correction.

This message reminds us that God is still searching for people who will walk uprightly, seek His ways, and depend on Him wholeheartedly.

đź“– Scripture Focus:

* 1 Samuel 17:32–37 – David trusts God’s past faithfulness when facing Goliath.
* 1 Kings 9:1–5 – God speaks about walking before Him with integrity and uprightness.
* Psalm 78:70–72 – David shepherds Israel with integrity of heart and skillful hands.
* Psalm 51:1–6 – David’s repentance and desire for inward truth.
* Psalm 101:1–8 – A commitment to walk with integrity and reject evil.
* Psalm 25:4–8 – David asks God to teach him His ways and lead him in truth.
* Psalm 26:1–5 – Walking in integrity and trusting in the Lord.
* Psalm 31:1–8 – Finding refuge, guidance, and deliverance in God.

đź’Ž Key Message:
A heart after God is a heart that walks in integrity, remains teachable, and depends fully on the Lord.
David’s strength came not from himself, but from his trust in God’s mercy, guidance, and faithfulness.

⚡ Reflection:
Ask yourself — Am I walking honestly before God, allowing Him to shape and correct me?
Integrity is not about appearing perfect before people—it is about remaining sincere before God.

David always recognized that God was his only hope and help in life. This is what propelled him forward ever in his faith journey with Daddy Jesus. In every circumstance he faced, he never took his eyes off the Lord, for he knew that He was his only problem solver.

In difficult times, David often strengthened himself in the Lord by reminding himself of this. “Why are you cast down, Oh my soul?”

If David was to look at his physical circumstances he might have answered differently. But because he was looking to God, he was able to answer with praises to God. He did so, not blindly, but because He knew God would eventually answer and see David through.

When circumstances try us, what shall we do? Let’s give Daddy God all the praise knowing that He is our true problem solver, our ONLY Helper and refuge in this life. Knowing that there is no other option but God alone, that all we can do is surrender, this will propel us forward to grow to trust Him.

He is a faithful God. Whatever you’re struggling with in life, remember that it is good to hope in God. For He alone is the help of your countenance. Contrary to the saying, you CAN put all your eggs into this basket 🧺, which is Daddy God.

When you “put all your eggs into Daddy Gods basket” you recognize that He is all you need. So you invest all your trust in God by relying on Him to be your solution. And by relying on Him completely, He is gonna lift you up and see you through. Shalom!

The Man God Calls After His Own Heart – Part 14 | “A Heart Rooted in the Word of God” 👑

In Part 14 of the series on the life of King David, Apostle Ebenezer Ackun teaches that one of the greatest reasons David walked closely with God was because he deeply loved, honored, and meditated on the Word of God.

David understood that God’s Word is pure, trustworthy, eternal, and life-giving. It was not merely information to him—it was his guide, his strength, his protection, and his delight. In every season of life, David turned to God’s Word for wisdom, correction, direction, and encouragement.

This message reveals that a heart after God cannot be separated from a love for Scripture. The Word of God keeps us from sin, lights our path, strengthens our faith, and equips us for spiritual battle. David’s devotion to God’s Word shaped his worship, his decisions, his obedience, and his relationship with the Lord.

đź“– Scripture Focus:

* Psalm 12:6 – The words of the Lord are pure words.
* Psalm 18:30 – God’s way is perfect; His Word is proven.

* Matthew 5:18 – God’s Word is eternal and unchanging.
* Matthew 4:4 – Man shall live by every word that proceeds from God.

The Man God Calls After His Own Heart – Part 13 | “A Heart That Stands Boldly for God” 👑

In Part 13 of the series on the life of King David, Apostle Ebenezer Ackun explores another defining characteristic that made David stand out before God: his boldness to stand for the name, honor, and glory of the Lord.

When Goliath mocked the armies of Israel and defied the living God, everyone else was overcome with fear—but David was moved by something greater: zeal for God’s honor. David could not remain silent while God’s name was being dishonored. His courage was not rooted in self-confidence, military strength, or personal ability. It was rooted in his deep conviction that God is living, powerful, and worthy to be defended and proclaimed.

This message reveals that a heart after God is not passive or ashamed. It is bold in faith, unwavering in obedience, and willing to stand for truth even when others compromise, fear, or oppose it.

Throughout Scripture, we see God raising up men and women who refused to bow to intimidation—people who trusted God publicly and honored Him before kings, nations, and enemies. David was one of them.

đź“– Scripture Focus:

* 1 Samuel 17:10, 26, 34–47 – David confronts Goliath with faith in the living God.
* Joshua 4:8–25 – Memorial stones reminding future generations of God’s power and faithfulness.
* 1 Kings 8:12–43 – Solomon exalts the greatness and faithfulness of God before the people.
* 1 Kings 18:36–40 – Elijah boldly calls on the Lord before the prophets of Baal.
* 1 Kings 19:1–21 – God strengthens Elijah after fear and discouragement.
* Daniel 6:1–27 – Daniel remains faithful to God despite persecution.
* Acts 5:34–40 – The apostles endure opposition for the name of Christ.

đź’Ž Key Message:
A heart after God is a bold heart.
David’s life teaches us to stand courageously for God’s truth, trust His power, and defend His name without fear.

⚡ Reflection:
Ask yourself — Am I bold for God when my faith is challenged, or do I remain silent out of fear?
God is still looking for people who will stand for Him with courage, conviction, and unwavering faith.

👑 The Man God Calls After His Own Heart – Part 12 | “A Life of Praise” 👑

In Part 12 of the series on the life of King David, Apostle Ebenezer Ackun focuses on one of the most defining characteristics of David’s heart: his continual praise of God.

David was not only a king and a warrior—he was a praiser. His life was marked by a deep, consistent, and passionate expression of praise toward the Lord. Whether in victory or distress, in private devotion or public worship, David made it his priority to honor God with his words, his songs, and his life.

This teaching reveals that praise is not based on circumstances—it is based on who God is. David praised God for His greatness, His faithfulness, His power, and His righteousness. He understood that praise shifts our focus from problems to God, from fear to faith, and from ourselves to His glory.

The Psalms show us that praise is not optional—it is essential. It is the language of a heart that truly knows God.

đź“– Scripture Focus:

* Psalm 9:1–6 – Praising God with a whole heart for His mighty works.
* Psalm 112 – The blessings of those who fear the Lord.
* Psalm 28:6–8 – The Lord as strength, shield, and salvation.
* Psalm 148:4–13 – All creation called to praise the Lord.
* Psalm 33:1–6 – Praise is fitting for the upright.
* Psalm 106:1–3 – Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.
* Psalm 107:8–21, 31 – Let the redeemed praise the Lord for His goodness.
* Psalm 34:1–8 – Bless the Lord at all times; His praise continually in our mouths.
* Psalm 150:1–6 – Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
* Psalm 56:4 – Trusting and praising God in the face of fear.
* Psalm 138:1–8 – Praising God for His faithfulness and mercy.
* Psalm 97:1–6 – The Lord reigns—let the earth rejoice.
* Revelation 4:8–11 – Heavenly worship declaring God’s holiness and worth.
* Psalm 135:1–7; Psalm 7:17; Psalm 96:1–4; Psalm 134:1–3 – Calls to continual praise.
* 1 Chronicles 9:17–33 – Appointed worship and continual praise in God’s house.

đź’Ž Key Message:
A heart after God is a praising heart.
Praise honors God, strengthens our faith, and keeps our hearts aligned with His presence.

⚡ Reflection:
Ask yourself — Is praise a regular part of my life, or only something I do when things go well?
True praise flows from a heart that knows God, trusts Him, and honors Him in every season.

The Man God Calls After His Own Heart – Part 11 | “What We’ve Learned from David’s Heart” 👑

In Part 11 of this series on the life of King David, Apostle Ebenezer Ackun brings together the key lessons we’ve learned so far — answering the central question:
What was it about David that caused God Himself to testify about him?

David’s life has shown us that being a man after God’s own heart is not about perfection, position, or outward success. It is about the posture of the heart before God.

Through David’s journey, we’ve seen the contrast between Saul and David — between outward religion and inward obedience. Saul had the appearance of leadership but lacked submission. David, though imperfect, demonstrated a heart that trusted God, responded to correction, and sought to do His will.

We have learned that David’s heart was marked by:
✔️ Faith in God in the face of fear
✔️ Humility instead of pride
✔️ Love for God and others
✔️ Integrity in private and public
✔️ A refusal to take revenge
✔️ A heart of worship and gratitude
✔️ Genuine repentance when he failed

This message reminds us that God is still searching for hearts like David’s — hearts that are fully surrendered, responsive, and aligned with Him.

đź“– Scripture Focus:

* 1 Samuel 13:5–14 – God seeks a man after His own heart.
* 1 Samuel 15:17–29 – The consequences of disobedience and rejection.
* 1 Samuel 16:1–14 – God chooses David based on his heart.
* Psalm 89:6–20 – God establishes and upholds David as His chosen servant.
* Acts 13:1–24 – God testifies that David fulfilled His will.
* Psalm 51:1–5 – David’s repentance and brokenness before God.
* 1 Samuel 17:25–51 – David’s faith and trust in God’s power.

đź’Ž Key Message:
A heart after God is a responsive heart.
It trusts, obeys, loves, repents, and worships.
It is not about being flawless — it is about being fully yielded.

⚡ Final Reflection:
Ask yourself — What kind of heart do I have before God?
Am I resisting Him, or responding to Him?
God is still looking for those whose hearts are fully His.

▶️ Watch now and reflect on the life of David — and discover how you can cultivate a heart that God delights in.
