Topic: Is the Bible Reliable?
In the past two centuries, the fields of anthropology, archaeology, and paleontology have changed much of the world's discourse relating to the understanding of humanity's past. We will look at these fields to see some of the remarkable evidence arguing for the historical accuracy of the Bible.
Feb 9th 7:00 - 8:30pm - Session 1: Distant Echoes
We will look at cultures the world over and demonstrate that a memory exists of the early chapters of Genesis. This will be a look at the field of cultural anthropology and the overwhelming evidence for the reliability of the Bible.
Feb 10th 9:00 - 10:30am - Session 2: Egypt and Forensics
Archaeology has provided us with some remarkable artifacts supporting the claims of the Exodus account as found in the Bible. We will review just some of the material showing that Egypt was impacted by a series of disasters that led to the freeing of the Nation of Israel. We will also look at the evidence surrounding Israel's subsequent conquest of the Land of Canaan.
Feb 10th 10:30 - 12:00am - Session 3: Worldwide Flood Indeed
Paleontology provides a great swath of evidence that a global deluge changes the face of the earth several thousand years ago. We will look at this evidence, talk about dinosaurs and show some of the astounding findings of paleontology and geology to show that the Bible is scientifically sound.
Feb 11th 11:00 - 12:00pm - Session 4: Latest Findings
As technology and techniques improve, more and more key findings are being found that argue for the reliability of the Bible. We will look at a recent discovery or two that has added yet more confirmation to the accounts of Scripture.
