Hi friends, Chaya here! I work at JFS, and we are trying to gather responses from the Jewish community for our Community Needs Assessment Survey. Please take a look at the info below and fill out the survey if you have the time. Cheers!

In a time when so much feels uncertain, one of the most powerful things we can do is listen. That’s why our friends at Jewish Family Service (JFS) are embarking on a Community Needs Assessment—to hear directly from Jewish individuals and families across the Puget Sound about what’s working, what’s missing, and where needs are going unmet. The first phase is a community needs survey.

Please encourage your community to take the survey and share it with their Jewish friends in September.

Survey: jfsseattle.org/cna-survey

The survey is anonymous, available both digitally and in paper format, and has been translated into Russian and Hebrew. The insights JFS gathers will directly inform how they shape and strengthen their programs and services to better meet the needs of our diverse Jewish communities. After the survey is complete, JFS will publish the results and share what they learn.

Together, we can build stronger Jewish communities and ensure that all Jewish individuals and families have what they need to thrive.

Come learn with Alex Fineman, a visiting JTS rabbinical student at CBS on the topic “Joseph: Q***r Coated?” and enjoy a tasty vegan dinner, as well as bring in Shabbat with Kabbalat Shabbat services.

The dinner is $36. No cost to attend services or the discussion. Please register through the link here : https://www.bethshalomseattle.org/event/jts-student-shabbat.

Looking forward to seeing you there! RSVP deadline is Oct 30th!

Joseph: Q***r Coated? Joseph is often the primary example we look to for q***r tropes and ancestors in our tradition, and for good reason! We will take a trip together through our Torah and holy midrashic imagination to explore the depths of q***r experience in Joseph's life, seeing if we (even thos...
