Masjid Al-Furqan

Masjid Al-Furqan Our mission is to cultivate a welcoming space for worship, learning, and community support, inspired by the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Hope Academy [Hope] is a grassroots non-profit organization located in West Seattle, Washington. Hope was founded by East-African Muslim members in the community in July 2004. It began as a small alternative homeschool and afterschool program for the underserved and underprivileged children in their community. The school grew over the years through the support of the community as well as staff and

teachers who shared the founders’ vision to see the Muslim immigrant refugee communities in the Greater Seattle/King County area get acculturated with their host country while forging religious/cultural pathways for ideas, beliefs, and aspirations to be shared. Hope occupies almost 40,000 square feet including the two buildings and a courtyard between the two buildings. It also currently operates the two buildings on the lot while maintaining the school building for educational purposes and has converted the church building into a mosque; Masjid Al-Furqan.

The nights are getting quieter… but the reward is getting greater. 🌙

As Taraweeh comes to a close, the door of Tahajjud is wide open. These last nights of Ramadan are the most powerful nights of the entire year.

When the world sleeps, Allah calls out asking: “Who is asking so I may give? Who is seeking forgiveness so I may forgive?”

Join us in the last third of the night to stand before Allah, make heartfelt dua, and search for Laylatul Qadr.

Let’s finish Ramadan strong, together.
May Allah accept every prayer, every tear, and every dua. Ameen. 🤲🏽

Alhamdulillah…The last week of Taraweeh are here. 🤲🏽

We started this Ramadan hoping to grow, to reconnect, and to fill the masjid, and Allah allowed us to stand night after night in prayer together. What a blessing it has been to hear the Qur’an, make dua, and share these moments as a community.

As we reach the last week of Taraweeh, let’s finish strong. These final nights hold Laylatul Qadr, a night better than a thousand months.

Come join us for these last beautiful nights.

One more sajdah. One more dua. One more night seeking Allah’s mercy.

May Allah accept all of our fasting, prayers, and charity this Ramadan. Ameen. 🤲🏽
