For those of you who were unable to attend the “CTOJ 2020 ACCELERATE” training that was held on Saturday February 1, all I can say is you missed some excellent training, great fellowship, and of course good food!
The objective of the training was to give a learning experience on communication, so that you would be able to recognize the various levels and styles of interpersonal, non-verbal, and empathetic communication.
The instructor, Mrs. Arkia C. Ejim was outstanding!! She delivered the training with such clarity and professionalism! Some of us think we know how to communicate and we think we communicate well. I am here to tell you after Mrs. Ejim broke communication skills down to the basic; you didn’t have to wonder any more about your communication skills, you knew your communication skills were kind of on shaky ground!!
The communication activities that really stood out and had an impact were the “Human Knot and Guess Who I Am.”

Ain't no Cook-Out like a CTOJ Cook-Out!
The weather did not stop us . . . We cooked outside and played games and ate inside! We had an Absolute Blast!
For those of you who were unable to come, we want you to know we missed you!
We look forward to seeing all of you next year, if the Lord tarries! If not, we shall see you in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air!

CONGRATULATIONS to the 2017 Graduates of the first Basic 101 Generational Computer Class held at Christ Temple of Joy!
On behalf of Pastor H. Ojetta Washington and the entire CTOJ family, we would like to give a very special thanks to former Seat Pleasant council member, Mrs. Barbara Kennedy and Mr. Thurman Jones, President of Patriots Technology (STEM) Training Center, Seat Pleasant.
From inception, Mrs. Kennedy has shown nothing but genuine interest, drive, determination and persistence in assisting us with making sure the class was successful. She was always doing whatever she could to make sure everyone that she knew and the entire community would know about the class and would come out to support. She also made sure that we partnered with the appropriate person to make this class happen for the seniors in the Seat Pleasant community.
Mr. Jones provided the additional foresight, equipment and awesome instructors to make this collaboration very successful.
The students couldn’t say enough positive things about the class and instructors. They said they had learned more than they had ever known about the computer, in the few months they had been attending class. They said they were not ready for the class to end and can’t wait for the class to begin again in 2018.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS Class!!
