North Coast Family Fellowship Love Jesus. Love people. Love people to Jesus. Sundays | 9:00am & 11:00am

We believe the Bible casts the vision for the existence of the Church to be: For the glory and honor of God and for those not yet part of it.

You can't fully love Christ while remaining detached from the people He died to save.

Happy Saturday NCFF …

Tomorrow right after our second worship gathering, in the Student Ministries Center, I’ll be hosting a Membership Information Luncheon for any of you who would like to learn more about NCFF and perhaps join our church as an official member. This will include finding out about who we are, what we believe, the ministries we do, our leadership, our staff, and a bunch of other things. The timeframe is about 1.5 hours, give or take a few minutes. There’s a really nice free lunch and it genuinely is a fun time!

To be honest, as this is the last membership class I’ll be leading for our church, I’d love it if you would come. My successor as Lead Pastor, John Cox, starts around the mid-point of August. I am truly hoping and praying to have as many of you who are attenders become members prior to John’s arrival. This would be a great gift to share with our new Pastor John.

Also, tomorrow I’ll be teaching from Psalms 66. The title for my message is, SEEING GOD FOR WHO HE REALLY IS. Many Old Testament rabbis have pegged this particular Psalm as being the most worshipful and most joyful of all the Psalms. I’m not 100% sure about that, but I do know it will teach you a lot and motivate you significantly when it comes to worshipping Jesus and experiencing the joy Jesus wants you to have.

Please come and worship on campus if you possibly can. I really hope to fellowship with you and lift up Jesus together!

Luv ya …

WHY LONELY CHRISTIANS BURN OUT

Covid ramped it up about a thousand fold. We're more isolated and lonely in our culture than ever before.

So, church membership helps us plant godly relational roots, so we're not out here trying to do it by ourselves.

Ephesians 2:19 says, "You are fellow citizens with God's people and also members of His household."

Church membership is the practical, obvious way of saying, "This is my spiritual family."

And within the context of spiritual family, you know what gets encouraged? Faithfulness.

People with no spiritual family become less and less faithful. That's just how it works.

You might keep wearing the name tag "Christian" and be glad you've got fire insurance, but apart from a local body, faithfulness is almost impossible to maintain.

Picture a clump of coals burning hot in the fireplace. Pull one out, set it on the hearth alone, and it goes cold. That's us without the others. But planted in a spiritual family, faithfulness, perseverance, and spiritual maturity grow.

One Word of Advice Every American Christian Needs to Hear

Your busyness is keeping you from the things that are most important to God and therefore most important to you.

Happy Saturday NCFF …

Drum roll please: WE HAVE A NEW LEAD PASTOR! Thank you Jesus. The church family has overwhelmingly affirmed the unanimous recommendation of NCFF’s Board of Elders to formally extend a ministry call to John Cox to become our new lead pastor. John has responded with a resounding … YES! He has also communicated that all five members of his family are super excited to be moving our way. If all goes as planned, John and his family will join us here on the North Coast of Oregon sometime around mid-August.

Over the weeks remaining to me as your current Lead Pastor, I will be doing everything I can possibly do to help prepare our elders, staff, and you (the congregation) to receive and work harmoniously with our new leader. I do want to assure you that John is a spiritual shepherd of immense character, credibility, compatibility, and capability. NCFF is truly blessed of God to be acquiring a new lead pastor of this caliber. We are extremely fortunate and I am personally so very grateful for the whole Cox family. NCFF will love them and they will love us!

And here’s another great announcement: Paul and Sarah (our worship pastor and children’s ministry director) have had their baby. Micah Steven Brooks-Dudgeon was born this past Tuesday, May 19th, and weighed 7lbs 5oz at birth. Both Sarah and Micah are healthy and Micah’s brothers are super happy to finally welcome their little brother. And Paul, well he’s in a state of shock!😉

I look ahead to seeing you tomorrow. My sermon is the second part to my message from last Sunday: JOYFULLY SIGNED ON or JUST SITTING IN. With the soon arrival of our new lead pastor, our church is at the crossroads of our future and your help to become all that Jesus wants us to be is absolutely crucial. I look forward to sharing God’s Word with you. If you are unable to join us in person, please catch us online on YouTube or the NCFF website.

Much love to you …

THIS IS THE JOB GOD HAS FOR YOU

God restores us.

He builds us back up, and He makes us new.

But He doesn't stop there. He sends us out.

So we go as His emissaries, His ambassadors, for His name's sake, to build the kingdom of heaven.

That is the work God equips us to do.

Maybe you're in a season where you're saying, "Yeah, I need rest. I'm willing to give this to God."

Just know that whatever He's planning in that season, it's to build up His kingdom.

So if we come to Him with selfish ambition, wanting to make a name for ourselves, we've come to the wrong God. He is concerned with His kingdom, and that we are His walking representatives.
