Living Way church was energized today with nearly 200 college students who just arrived back in Searcy. We are grateful for each one and pray God’s blessings on them as they begin the new school year.

We invite anyone in the community to join us as we assemble on Sundays at 10:00 at 3353 Hwy. 36 West just west of Searcy.

Today was Easter and we assembled as the Living Way church to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In our communion time today we took extra time to visit about the significance of what this resurrection means to us and for us and how we in turn live our lives.

We are grateful to God for his amazing love and for his Son, Jesus, who lived as a man and died on a cross for our sins and rose again, and for God’s Holy Spirit, who lives within us.

About 433 of us assembled today and we worshiped, remembered, reminded, encouraged, and challenged one another in our walk as disciples of Jesus Christ. What a blessing!

This past Sunday we at the Living Way church shared in communion through the fellowship of one other, with Christians around the world, and perhaps most importantly with Jesus, the resurrected Messiah, who continues to host the Table in this Lord’s Supper that remembers his life and his death but also celebrates his resurrection from the dead and rejoices in the fellowship we share in the now as a taste of the future in heaven.

We broke bread, drank juice, and talked about the meaning and significance of sharing this meal together, as we do every Sunday, the day of resurrection, looking together toward the day when all those who enjoy this meal will enjoy the final resurrection and live in His presence forever. What joy! What hope! What love! What faith! May God bless us in our faithfulness and communion with Him through Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Mark your calendars for our newest Bible Study, beginning on May 11th from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Children's class will be provided for ages 2 and older. The first topic will be Canoeing the Mountains: Christian Leadership in Uncharted Territory.

At Living Way, we gather around tables. We pray with and for each other, talk about God’s Word, and share in communion―the bread and juice that remind us of Jesus’ sacrifice, the very gift that provides us with a place at the table in the family of God.
