Monday Motivation: You Don't Walk Alone

Following yesterday’s sermon on navigating conflict, we anchor our week in the promise Jesus gives us at the end of that direct roadmap in Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them." ⛪ 🫱🏼‍🫲🏼

3 Ways to Carry This Into Your Week:
❤️ God is in the midst of difficult conversations: When we take the courageous step to seek peace, we don't enter that room alone. Christ's presence is actively working between us.
❤️ Small gatherings carry immense power: Reconciliation doesn't require a massive stage. True healing often starts with just two people coming together in humility.
❤️ Our strength is in community: God calls us to drop our defenses and find our protective refuge together in Him rather than relying on our own strength.

As you step into your week, remember that no matter what friction or challenges you face, God's grace is right there with you.

Friday Focus: The Roadmap to Reconciliation

Handling conflict is uncomfortable, but Jesus gave us a practical pathway to navigate it in Matthew 18:15–17: "If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one. But if you are not listened to, take one or two others along with you... If the member refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if the member refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector."

Monday Motivation: The Challenge to Follow

"Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.'" — Matthew 16:24

Yesterday, we unpacked what it takes to move from resistance to acceptance when God calls us to step up. Real leadership in the Kingdom of God isn't about grasping for power or staying in our comfort zone—it’s about surrendering our self-interest to follow where Jesus leads.

Taking up your cross means choosing love over ego, service over status, and courage over convenience. It’s not always easy, but you don't walk this path alone. God is with you, and we have a faith community to lean on every step of the way.

As you step into a new week, ask yourself: What is one small way I can choose love, service, or courage today?

Friday Focus: "Who Am I?"

"But Moses said to God, 'Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?' And God said, 'I will be with you.'" — Exodus 3:11–12a

When God called Moses from the burning bush, Moses didn't lead with a polished résumé or a confident "I'm ready!" He led with a question born out of self-doubt: "Who am I?"

Moses knew his past mistakes. He knew his limitations. He knew how comfortable his hidden life in the desert had become. His first reaction to God’s big call was natural human resistance.

Notice how God answers him. God doesn't give Moses a list of his own strengths or try to build up his ego. Instead, God simply shifts the focus: "I will be with you."

The key to moving from resistance to acceptance in leadership isn't relying on our own adequacy—it’s relying on God's presence. When we feel underqualified, unprepared, or hesitant to step up, God doesn't ask us to do it alone.

As we head into the weekend, take a moment to sit with that question: Where in your life are you saying "Who am I?" to God, and how might hearing "I will be with you" change your next step?
