Dover Baptist Troop 61

Dover Baptist Troop 61 Dover Troop 61 meets every Monday from 7 until 8:30. We have a rich history dating back to 1976.

We are a very active Troop, and it is our goal to have at least one outing per month!

I'm going to the scout store tomorrow if anyone needs anything.

We need to know tonight who will be going on the camping trip this weekend. We determined last week that we'll be going to East Morris Mountain Hunt Camp in the Uwharries to (hopefully) complete the Orienteering Merit Badge!

Hey,

I know it's kind of late notice, but this week Dover is having its Spring Revival. I would however like for all the boys to attend tonight in uniform (since it's our meeting night anyway). I ask this because I believe that supporting the revival, and other Church services when available, shows the Church that we appreciate their support, and it also shows that we support the Church. Thank you for your cooperation!

Tony

If anyone is interested in doing some service for others, the Cedar Plantation in Troy (a new youth center) will be having a work day this Saturday. If you are interested let Tony know and he'll put you in contact with the administrator there.

Hi,

I just wanted to send a quick update regarding tonight's meeting. The boys have planned to have our Troop's election tonight, therefore, we need everyone in attendance to ensure that the right boy leaders are put into place! Also, the new PLC (patrol leader's council) will need to meet after tonight's meeting to plan for next week's meeting. Also, as stated last week, everyone needs to be able to let us know tonight whether or not they'll be able to attend the Winter Camporee, to be held at the Woodrun Hunt Camp (24/27 trailhead) on January 27-29, so that we can effectively plan our menus and duty rosters. One final note, please let me know tonight if you are wanting to go skiing this Sunday, you can expect to spend a minimum of $50 (gets ski rentals, lift ticket, and one meal voucher). Ski bibs are $8. Each person would also need to bring money for at least two meals, and any spending money they may want. Expected departure time on Sunday is around 4:30am and return time is tbd. Again, I do need a second leader or parent to go with us to maintain 2 deep leadership. I hope to see each boy at the meeting tonight, you can also encourage them to bring a friend if they'd like!

Thanks!

Tony
